Colorado launches new Crisis Guidelines informed by school tragedies

After convening experts from across the state who have dealt with unimaginable crises in educational settings, the Colorado School Safety Resource Center (CSSRC) recently released new Crisis Guidelines to help K-12 schools and institutions of higher education prepare for and respond to large-scale emergencies. On April 21, CSSRC will host a panel of school safety experts to discuss the guidelines, lessons learned, and key takeaways for school safety.

School Access For Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Announcement

LAKEWOOD - Wednesday, Mar. 2, 2022 - The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) announces the availability of funds through the School Access For Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program created by the Colorado State Legislature's SB18-158.

New Grants Finder Tool on SchoolSafety.gov

The Federal School Safety Clearinghouse team is excited to announce that the Grants Finder Tool has officially launched on SchoolSafety.gov. The new site feature is designed as a decision-making support tool to help kindergarten through grade 12 (K-12) schools and districts determine the eligibility and applicability of funding opportunities for their specific needs, challenges, and characteristics and was developed to enable members of the K-12 community to more easily find, apply for, and ultimately receive funding that can be used to implement and enhance school safety measures.

CSSRC launches Online Search Document Library

In order to provide easier access to search for and find training, guidelines, articles, assessment tools, and other resources, the Center School Safety Resources Center (CSSRC) has created an Online Search Document Library repository.
