  • State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education (SACPIE)

    • SACPIE was established in 2009. The Colorado General Assembly found that it was in the best interests of the state to create a state advisory council for parent involvement in education that will review best practices and recommend to policy makers and educators strategies to increase parent involvement in public education, thereby helping improve the quality of public education and raise the level of students' academic achievement throughout the state. (C.R.S. § 22-7-301(2) 2012)

  • Launched in September 2014

  • The mission of the National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE),is to advance the high-impact policies and practices of family, school, and community engagement, promote child development, and improve student achievement.

  • NCSE partners with school districts, law enforcement agencies, courts, and state and federal agencies to support youth and their families to be engaged at school. ,Services include training and technical assistance, research and evaluation, and information and resources.

Safer Schools Together

  • Safer Schools Together has created a complimentary resource guide called ‘Raising Digitally Responsible Youth: A Parents Guide’. The goal of this guide is to help introduce the major social media platforms, video games, and relevant trends that are either being used already or have the potential to be used by today’s youth.
